It’s a one-of-a-kind heirloom
No one piece from Fallen Timber Furniture is an exact match to another. Whether it’s a popular style that we make over and over, or a fully customized design that’s tailored to you, every creation tells its own story. It is important to celebrate the fact that your project is like no other. There are no duplicates. No copy and pasting. Just a unique, high-quality piece that’s as sustainable as it is beautiful.

Our standard production window for a handcrafted commission is typically 10 to 14 weeks. Because every piece is personally resolved and built by Nathan Keen—from the surgical selection of raw lumber to the hand-applied finish—this timeline ensures your furniture receives the technical attention and necessary curing time required for a modern heirloom.

Health and sustainability are core pillars of our studio. We exclusively utilize 100% non-toxic, plant-based, and low-VOC oil finishes. Our finishes are food-safe, moisture-resistant, and do not "off-gas" in your home. Note: Our finishes require a 21-day hardening period; we recommend light use during this initial curing phase.
-
Alberta’s dry climate is uniquely challenging for solid timber; we bridge this gap through engineering. We utilize internal steel C-channels and joinery that allows the wood to "breathe" without losing structural integrity. To maintain your warranty and ensure the longevity of your piece, you must:
Maintain Humidity: Keep a relative humidity of 35% to 45% in your home.
Avoid Heat Sources: Do not place furniture directly over active heat vents or in prolonged direct sunlight.
Cleaning: For daily care, use a lint-free cloth and warm water with a drop of pH-neutral soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia, or bleach.

Yes. We warrant our furniture to be free from structural defects in workmanship for one (1) year from the date of delivery. This covers the integrity of our joinery and hardware.
Note: Our warranty does not cover natural wood movement (minor checking or seasonal gaps) caused by environmental conditions outside the recommended 35%–45% humidity range.
